Steven Crowder released the Nashville Shooter’s manifesto this morning. Just to refresh your memory, Audrey Hale, a transgender man killed three 9 year old students and three teachers at the Christian Covenant School in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee.
I have to admit, it is far worse than I could have imagined. Below are the screenshots of what was released to the public. You can read the full release here.
This could potentially become one of the biggest hate crimes that we have ever seen committed by one individual. The hatred that is seen on these pages is heartbreaking.
It makes me wonder what happened to this person to make them hate people so much that she felt the need to kill them? Was it the atmosphere at home? Was it the education she received? Where did this hatred emanate from? No one is born with this level abhorrence; it is learned. So who do we blame for this level of psychosis?
Hale meticulously planned out the day of horror in her notebook which she gleefully labeled as “Death Day.” She writes with pure excitement that she cannot believe the day is finally here. She is ready and hopes her victims are not. She prays to God to give her the strength to conquer her anxiety and that she has a high death count. Hale was also mentally prepared to die and knew there was little chance of her leaving the situation alive.
The most telling part of this manifesto is that Hale claims she cannot believe she hasn’t been caught before the big “Death Day.” My question is, does that mean she was on the FBI’s radar? If she was, why wasn’t she apprehended? And how in the hell did she get access to these firearms?
It’s clear, now more than ever, that our 3 letter agencies are continuing to fail to protect the American people they have sworn to protect. I could continue ranting and raving how much we need reform, but I’m beating a dead horse at this point. We need reform from the top down, especially if mass shootings like this continue to happen.
I guess I will show my bias here because I know everyone says that we have a gun problem, especially an AR15 problem, but I think the picture below shows the real issue at hand.
Maybe, just maybe, this isn’t a gun issue at all. This is a value issue. And which party values violence?
Unlike others, I pray this poor soul found peace. May God bless the innocent lives who were lost because of this misguided hatred and violence. May God bless the families and friends who were affected by this tragedy.
"This is a value issue. And which party values violence?"
FFS that is the most vile uninformed suggestion I've seen for a while. Your choice of some hateful Twitter rando who doesn't understand that correlation and causation are different isn't much cover for your extremist views.
In the decade since Sandy Hook there have been over 900 shootings on school grounds in America. After more than 60 years in which motor-vehicle crashes were the leading cause of death for young people, since 2017 guns have killed more Americans between the ages of one and 24.
This is the condition we've reached thanks to people like yourself who rather than objectively comparing other western countries and realizing "its the number of guns stupid", seek to blame pretty much anyone or anything else.
